I began studying painting at Coventry School of Art and then went on to read Art History at Sussex University (BA Hons) in 1975. I then lived in Chiddingly in rural East Sussex for many years, holding several solo exhibitions of my paintings and working on many commercial art/design projects from book and album covers to heraldry. Music has also played a big part in my life from playing guitar in blues influenced bands such as The Whailing Snails and The Taylors. I later expanded into folk and mediaeval music, indulging myself learning a variety of different instruments and performing in period costume at historic festivals.
My other passion is for all things motorcycle (currently still riding on a Harley Softail) and biker tribes.
In 2005 I married Penny and in 2008 we moved to a small holding in Cornwall with a motley collection of dogs and horses.
I have two grown up children. My son, Rory, is a musician and works in the aircraft industry and my daughter, Bonnie has a successful career in the art world of film and video.
